Terms of Service

Last updated: September 30, 2026

These terms govern your use of Vocory ("the App"), developed by Brandon Kwai. By using the App, you agree to these terms.

Using the App

Vocory is a study app. It turns lectures you record, and material you add such as files, scanned pages and links, into lessons, flashcards, quizzes and practice tests. You are responsible for the content you record, import and process, and for having the right to do so, including permission to record a lecture or meeting where that is required. Don't use the App for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe others' rights.

Your content

You keep all rights to your recordings, notes and study material, and we don't claim ownership of your content. Your content is stored on your device, and also on our servers if you turn on backup and sync with an account. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

Vocory is free to start. Vocory Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings under your Apple account. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Third-party processing

To provide transcription and AI features, the App sends audio or text to third-party providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Their processing is subject to their own terms.

Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the App. We may also update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Transcripts, lessons, questions and answers are generated automatically and may contain errors, so check important facts against your course material. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country.

Apple

These terms supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of the App. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
