Delete your Vocory account

This page is for the Vocory study app (Vocory: AI Study & Flashcards) on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. You can delete your account and the data stored with it at any time, in the app or by asking us here.

Option 1: in the app (instant)

Open Vocory and go to the Me tab.
Tap the gear to open Settings, then Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted from our servers right away. To also clear everything from the phone itself, use Settings → Privacy & delete my data → Delete all my data.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

No longer have the app? Email us from the address you signed in with and we will delete the account for you.

Request deletion

Or write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Vocory account". If you never signed in, include the Device ID shown in the app under Settings → Help Center.

We confirm by email and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Your account: email address, name and sign-in details.
Your cloud backup: the text of your lectures and notes, your classes, and your study progress (lessons, cards, quiz results, streak, exam dates).
Podcast, video and web imports and Live meeting transcripts that are still on our servers.
Your usage records, trial reminders and invite code.

What is not deleted

Data on your device. Lectures stored on the phone stay there until you use Delete all my data or remove the app.
Anonymous usage analytics. These are not linked to your name or email and are kept for up to one year.
Messages you sent to support, kept as long as needed to handle them.
Purchase records held by Apple or Google for your subscription.

Recordings are never stored on our servers in the first place: audio is deleted as soon as it has been transcribed.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a Vocory Pro subscription. Cancel it first where you bought it: on iPhone, iPad or Mac in Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
