Common questions

How does Vocory work?

Create a class, then record a lecture or add your material. Vocory turns it into a lesson path: short lessons, flashcards and practice questions built from what was actually said in class. Set your exam date to see how exam ready you are.

What can I add besides a recording?

Tap + and choose: record a lecture, upload a PDF, Word file or slides, scan pages, paste a link (YouTube, podcasts, web pages), paste text, or start from just a topic.

What's free, and what does Pro add?

The free plan includes 3 lectures, and their lessons, flashcards and tests stay free. Your first recording can run up to 60 minutes; after that, free recordings are up to 30 minutes. Vocory Pro adds unlimited lectures, recordings up to 4 hours, mock exams, fresh practice questions and audio recaps.

Which languages does it understand?

More than 70, detected automatically, even when one class mixes two languages.

Where is my data stored?

Your lectures and study progress are stored on your device. If you sign in and turn on Back up notes and progress, the text of your notes and your progress are also stored on our servers so they sync across your devices. Audio is only sent to be transcribed and is never kept. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

How do I delete my data?

Delete any lecture in the app at any time. To remove everything, go to Me → Settings → Delete all my data; if you have an account, you can delete it there too. For anything else, email [email protected] with the Device ID shown in Settings.

How do I change or turn off reminders?

Vocory sends at most one optional study reminder. Change or turn it off in Me → Settings → Daily reminder.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel any time in your device's Settings → your Apple account → Subscriptions.
